On November 16, the 10th anniversary of an international conference HEAVY RUSSIA was held at the congress-center “Infospace”. The event is considered the main event of the year for all those involved in the transportation and installation of heavy and oversized cargoes. Sergey Lvovich Tropin, General Director of “Spetstyazhavtotrans”, the first company in the oversized heavy cargo transportation industry in the USSR, gave an interesting report on the largest projects of the 70s-90s of the last century and on the history of the company.
Nuclear reactors loaded onto “Ural”
The second serial universal nuclear-powered icebreaker of the project 22220 “Ural”, thanks to specialists from the Spetstyazhavtotrans Group of companies and JSC “Baltiysky Zavod”, got a “heart”, in this case even two. Complicated work on the installation of two nuclear reactors RITM-200 weighing 200 tons has been completed.

OKB “Spetstyazhproekt” completed the project of equipment transportation for LLC “Afipsky Refinery”.
October 15, 2018 OKB “Spetstyazhproekt” completed a large-scale project for the transportation of equipment for LLC “Afipsky Refinery”. The company delivered 56 pieces of equipment with a total weight of more than 6000 tons to the construction site of the refinery by sea, river and road transport. The maximum load weight reached 735 tons, and the length – 60 meters.
Spetstyazhavtotrans Group of companies has successfully completed the starting season for equipment delivery for the Amur GPP
During the summer navigation period, the Spetstiazhavtotrans group of companies delivered 79 units of oversized heavy equipment for the Amur GPP by water, with a total volume of more than 60 thousand freight tons, including two 88-meter, 830-ton demethanizers.
“Spetstyazhavtotrans” Group of companies has completed water part of transportation of the equipment for the modernization of the Afipsky refinery.
On 25th of August 2018, “Spetstyazhavtotrans” Group of companies (OKB “Spetstyazhproekt”) has delivered the last shipment of cargo to a specialized berth and successfully completed water transportation of the equipment for the modernization of the production complex of the Afipsky Refinery.
The equipment delivered by ‘Spetstyazhavtotrans’ group of companies is being installed at Amur GPP
On July 10, an 830-ton demethanizer installation, delivered to the town of Svobodny by ‘OKB ‘Spetstyazhproekt’, was launched at the Amur Gas Processing Plant.
– Of course, installing a demethanizer column is a significant event for the whole project. Today we are moving to a new stage – we began to install heavy equipment. The work may not be the most difficult, but technologically, certainly, the most responsible, – commented the director of the project of construction of licensed installations Pavel Shibalov.
