On December 29, 2016 delivery of the 2nd case of the reactor to the Belarusian NPP is complete.
2 months were required to specialists of Spetstyazhavtotrans Group for carrying out the most difficult transaction on deliveries of a valuable cargo automobile, water and by rail.
Total length of a route more than 2,5 thousand kilometers.
From manufacturer the case of the reactor was delivered on specialized automotive vehicles to the mooring of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir to Volgodonsk.
From there down the river Don to New Voronezh the NPP.
To be in time till the freeze-up manufacturers of the equipment forced works and handed over the reactor case for three months before term. On delivery dates the reactor passed literally “on a razor edge”. Water transportation took 21 days.
Already in discharging day of a multiton design the ice descent began with the barge in the Novoronezhsky water storage basin that complicated already difficult 8th hour transaction of removal of the case of the reactor on the earth, and next day Don became covered by an ice crust.
At the railway station of the New Voronezh NPP the case of the reactor was shipped on a specialized transporter. The cylindrical device – the case of the atomic reactor, the weighing 350 tons, and displaced center of gravity it was necessary to position with an accuracy of millimeter for its further fixing on a railway transporter.
For delivery of the case of the reactor the special structure consisting of 10 cars in full accordance with strict requirements of the Russian Railway for transportation of off-gage heavy loads was created. In 20 days the second case of the reactor arrived to the destination to the building site of the Belarusian NPP.
The reactor is manufactured at the Volgodonsk subsidiary of JSC AEM-technology, Atommash, in accordance with the international contract on the first Belarusian nuclear power plant construction.Spetstyazhavtotrans Group performed delivery of the first and second reactors for BELAES.
