On December 29, 2016, specialists of Spetstyazhavtotrans delivered the second reactor body to the Belarusian NPP.

This multimodal transportation took 2 months. Total length of the route – more than 2500 kilometers.

The reactor passed a long waterway from the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in Volgodonsk to Novovoronezh NPP.

Water transportation took 21 days.

Peculiarities of this transportation were shallow waters and the absence of channels in the Don River. The barge was moving slowly, with a pilot and a dredger on board, laying a channel meter-by-meter (the  water depths on the route were not more than 50 cm, while a draft of the barge being 105 cm).
