We completed the first in Russia installation of oversized and overweight equipment using a self-erecting lift system B-SET manufactured by a Dutch company ENERPAK. It is capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 1,600 tonnes to the height up to 105 meters and install it with the accuracy up to 1 millimeter.
4 hydrocracking reactors were installed at the construction site of the hydrocracking unit of the Achinsk Refinery in December 2013.

B-SET lift system is owned by Spetstyazhavtotrans.
There are only two such systems operating in the whole world today: in Russia and in the USA.
Four reactors were installed at the construction site of the hydrocracking unit of the Achinsk Refinery. The equipment was installed into its design position by Spetstyazhavtotrans using a self-erecting lift system B-SET manufactured by a Dutch company ENERPAK. This system is capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 1,600 tonnes to the height up to 105 meters and install it with the accuracy of several millimeters. Today there are only two such systems in the whole world.

Here is how Spetstyazhavtotrans President Sergey Tropin comments on this unique event: “Emerging of such a technology for lifting overweight cargo in Russia is a great leap forward for engineering, construction and installation in the national petrochemical sector”.

The biggest of the four hydrocracking reactors weighs 1,306 tonnes and its height is 48 meters. After the unit commissioning the depth of oil processing will be increased at this site from 62 to 96%. It will result in extra 2 million tonnes of petrol and diesel a year.
