Delivery of turbines and other large-sized equipment manufactured by PJSC Power Machines for the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP was a part of the work to eliminate the consequences of the 2009 accident and restore the station. The route, with a length of 5.9 thousand km, ran from St. Petersburg along the Ladoga and Onega lakes, the Northern Sea Route and along the Yenisei river.

In Krasnoyarsk port, the equipment was reloaded to river barges, which, using the Krasnoyarsk HPP’s canal-lift, reached the berth downstream of the Mainskaya HPP, wherefrom the cargo was transported to the installation site of Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP by special motor transport. In total, throughout 2011 and 2012, 9 sets of hydraulic power equipment were delivered from Saint-Petersburg to Khakassia.

Due to the optimization of the transport logistics scheme and the professional approach of the OKB Spetstyazhproekt specialists, freight of hydraulic turbines impellers, rotor frames and oil baths was completed in two years instead of the planned three years time.
