On 25th of August 2018, “Spetstyazhavtotrans” Group of companies (OKB “Spetstyazhproekt”) has delivered the last shipment of cargo to a specialized berth and successfully completed water transportation of the equipment for the modernization of the production complex of the Afipsky Refinery.

Cargoes from Italy, Spain, Germany, Holland, India and Thailand have come a long and difficult way. Specialists of the company carried equipment on the Black and Azov seas and Kuban and Ubin Rivers, with intermediate crane overloads from sea vessels to river ones

Water part of the transportation for the Afipsky Refinery has been implemented over the last two years.  During this time, more than 50 units of oversized heavyweight equipment with a total weight of more than 6,000 tons were delivered.  The sizes of cargoes reached up to 60 meters in length and 9.5 meters in diameter.

Within the framework of equipment delivery, the company carried out repairs and reinforcement of public roads, strengthening of a reservoir dam and construction of storage areas, new roads, and a bridge over the Ubin River. In addition, employees of the OKB “Spetstyazhproekt” carried out the reconstruction of social facilities in the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea.

Especially for the project of modernization of the Afipsky refinery, the employees of “Spetstyazhavtotrans” developed and manufactured a specialized installation of an automated system for synchronous lifting of heavy equipment using four jacks with a total load capacity of 800 tons.

The project of equipment supply for the modernization of the Afipsky refinery is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2018.
