At the Chemical Convention of 2019, the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) noted with a special prize the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of enterprises, developed jointly by NGES Engineering and D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, with the support of the Russian Chemists Union.

The awarding ceremony took place on October 24 in the city of Helsinki at the “Responsible Care Awards” ceremony.  The award ceremony was attended by over 600 delegates from 38 countries, including heads of global companies, national and international associations such as BASF, ExxonMobil, DSM, Mitsui Chemicals and many others. Irina Tropina (NGES Engineering), Anna Makarova (D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia) and Igor Kukushkin (RCU) participated from Russia.

Among the winners of this year, the Belgian company “Solvay SA” – the award for the global “Product Quality Management System”, the Finnish group “Kemira” – the award “For Environmental Responsibility”, the company “Neste” – the award for achievements in the field of sustainable development.  The Belgian Association of Chemistry and Biological Sciences (Essenscia) received an award for “rethinking chemical logistics.”

The “Responsible Care Awards” award of the European Chemical Industry Council  is an unconditional recognition of the systematic and fundamental approach of our experts to the assessment and criteria for evaluating the performance of enterprises in the Russian and international chemical industries.
